Ebonyi Assembly Committee Inspects Fertilizer Plant, Cites 800-Bag Hourly Capacity

The Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources has inspected the Ebonyi State Fertilizer and Chemical Company in Abakaliki ahead of the current farming season. Committee chairman Onyebuchi Ogbadu said the company is supporting farm productivity, state revenue and food security. Lawmakers also called for stronger safety procedures and internal controls to prevent product diversion. The company’s director-general said its machines can produce 800 bags of fertilizer per hour. He added that the facility produces NPK 15-15-15, 12-12-12, 20-10-10 and 27-13-13 blends for farmers in Ebonyi and neighbouring states.
