Mourners Gather in Ilaro as Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan Is Laid to Rest

Tears and grief filled Ilaro, Ogun State, as veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. Family members, friends, fans and colleagues gathered in his hometown to pay their final respects. Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko and Ireti Osayemi were among the Nollywood figures present. An Islamic cleric addressed mourners as the burial rites proceeded. The actor's body, wrapped in white cloth, was carried in line with Islamic burial traditions.
