SERAP Urges Tinubu to Probe ₦2.9bn Discrepancy at NIGCOMSAT and NNRA
I’m reporting that the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to launch an immediate investigation into the alleged missing ₦2.9 billion from Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NIGCOMSAT) and the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA). In a letter dated April 11, 2026, SERAP asked the President to direct the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and the management teams of both agencies to explain irregular payments, unremitted revenues, unrecovered debts and funds spent on undelivered items. The group also urged the Attorney General and anti-corruption agencies to prosecute anyone found culpable and recover all missing funds. SERAP warned that such financial mismanagement undermines national development and public trust.
