Don’t Stay in Bondage: Embrace True Freedom in Christ
Years ago, a young man told me he had surrendered all to God. I praised him and asked to borrow his car for one day. He refused because he needed it for work. That moment revealed he still clung to his possessions. We can be set free from sin by Jesus, yet remain bound by material things. Galatians 5:1 urges us to stand firm in the freedom Christ has won so we don’t become entangled again. Jesus invites everyone who is weary to bring their burdens to Him (Matthew 11:28-30). God won’t force freedom on us. We must choose to receive it and hold on to it. Loving the world rejects the Father’s love (1 John 2:15-17). The devil’s promises of wealth only rob us of our souls (Mark 8:36-37). Let go of whatever keeps you chained and cry out to God for deliverance. Pray for His mighty power to break every bond.
