Tinubu Urges Nigerian Doctors Abroad to Return Home
President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerian doctors and other medical professionals living abroad to return home and support the country’s development. Speaking at the State House during a meeting with members of the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations, Tinubu said his own return to Nigeria after studying and working in the United States convinced him that there is “nowhere like home.” He urged the health workers to encourage their colleagues abroad to come back, promising that his administration would work to create better conditions for them to practise, raise their families and thrive. The President also restated his commitment to reducing poverty and improving living standards nationwide.
