CAF Appoints Four Nigerian Officials for Medeama vs TP Mazembe Champions League Tie
The Confederation of African Football has appointed Nigerian referee Joseph Odey Ogabor for the CAF Champions League preliminary-round first leg between Medeama SC of Ghana and TP Mazembe of DR Congo. The match is scheduled for September 6, 2026, at TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, Ghana, with kick-off set for 3:00pm GMT. Ogabor will be assisted by Tejiri Besmart Digbori and Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha, while Salisu Basheer will serve as fourth official. Gambian official Bakary K. Jammeh has been named match commissioner, while Ivorian Sinko Zeli will be the referee assessor. The return leg will be played in DR Congo on September 12.
