Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) will represent Nigeria at the 2026 ENACTUS World Cup in São Paulo, Brazil, after winning the ENACTUS Nigeria National Competition in Lagos. The competition, held from 11 to 15 August, brought together teams from Nigerian universities and polytechnics to present entrepreneurship and social-impact projects. ABU emerged champion and will join teams from 36 countries at the global event in November. ABU's project addresses tomato value-chain challenges, with a focus on reducing pre-harvest pest infestation and post-harvest losses. The team credited its success to research, farmer training, community engagement, partnerships and student-led innovation.
