Ogbomosho Pastor Says Money Ritual Brought Wealth Before He Lost a Leg

An Ogbomosho-based pastor, Joel Adedeji, says he took part in a money ritual about 30 years ago after seeking help from a herbalist. He claimed the ritual brought him money for four to five years, but that he was warned he would not be able to use the wealth to buy a car or build a house. He said he later faced serious setbacks. Adedeji said he lost a leg after being hit by a car in 2001. He said the vehicle had been bought by someone he previously lent money to. His account, shared in an interview with a Yoruba-language broadcaster, has not been independently verified. He now advises young people to be patient and avoid shortcuts to wealth.
