My Viral Bread Review Got Me Detained by Abuja Police

My Viral Bread Review Got Me Detained by Abuja Police

Ms Dooshima, whose review of a loaf of bread went viral, says she was summoned to the Zone 7 police station in Abuja on April 20 and held until the early hours of the next day. She recounts being treated like a criminal from the moment she arrived. She says her phone was confiscated and she could only make calls under police supervision. Despite giving a written statement, she believes it was neither read nor considered. She claims the officers had already sided with the bread seller. According to her, a senior police officer ordered her detention when she refused to hand over the only piece of bread she needed as evidence. She argues she could not simply surrender it to the police. Ms Dooshima also explains why she now speaks out on health matters. After her husband died following a hospital error in 2000, she began raising awareness about food toxins and the importance of natural diets.
