“The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation.” (2 Peter 2:9) As we face the closing scenes of earth’s history, God’s pledge of security rests on all who keep His word and patiently obey His commandments. The same mighty arm that warns transgressors with cloud and fire is ready to deliver the loyal. In these precious hours of probation, ask yourself: Am I building my character on the best materials? Have I purified my soul from every stain? Do my actions match my faith? Let the softening influence of God’s grace shape you. Shine your light so that those perishing in sin may see the way of salvation. True faith perseveres through every trial, and no praying, watching soul will be overcome by the enemy. Prayer: Our Father in heaven, thank You for Your pledge of security over us. Grant us grace to stand faithful until You come. Bless our finances, our health, and all that concerns us, that we may testify to Your goodness. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King. Amen.
