The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board has released figures for its 2026 recruitment exercise. More than 1.8 million Nigerians applied. Of these, 1,120,491 completed their applications and sat the Computer-Based Test. Meanwhile, 360,923 were disqualified for not meeting the requirements and 432,935 did not finish their applications. Most candidates scored between 61 and 80, with nearly 143,000 achieving top marks above 80. The next stage will involve physical screening and document verification.
