Kaduna Leads as Delta and Anambra Secure Top Three Spots in 2025 Governance Rankings
The latest Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies Governance Performance Index ranks Kaduna State highest nationwide with a 73% score. Delta follows closely on 70%, while Anambra takes third with 65.5%. The index evaluates public service delivery, infrastructure development and overall management across Nigeria’s 36 states. Governors Uba Sani of Kaduna, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta and Charles Soludo of Anambra earned praise for their reforms and ongoing development projects. Among the top ten are Niger, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Oyo, Enugu and Borno. At the bottom, Taraba ranks last with 20%, followed by Yobe, Benue, Rivers, Plateau and Kebbi.
