INEC Says Ondo Voter Registration Ended Peacefully With Strong Turnout
The Independent National Electoral Commission says the Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Ondo State ended peacefully, with an impressive turnout across all 18 local government areas. Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner Mutiu Agboke said many eligible residents remained eager to register or transfer their voter details on the final day. He credited voter education, advocacy and the online registration platform for the orderly process. INEC said records from the three CVR phases and the extension will be harmonised before Permanent Voter Cards are printed. The commission added that it will shift greater attention to preparations for the 2027 general election after the Osun governorship poll.
