Stakeholder Calls for Judo Federation Overhaul After NSC Dissolves Board
A judo stakeholder has welcomed the National Sports Commission’s dissolution of the Musa Oshodi-led Nigeria Judo Federation board, calling it a step towards reforming the sport. He urged the commission to review the federation’s constitution before fresh elections. He alleged that the existing document lacks broad approval from Nigeria’s judo community and should not be used for another election. He also called for the interests of clubs, state associations, coaches, referees and diaspora sponsors to be considered. The dissolved board has been directed to stop acting or issuing communications on behalf of the federation.
