Osun NYSC Member Says Missing-Person Alert Was False, Faces Disciplinary Action

An NYSC member serving in Osogbo, Osun State, has clarified that she was not missing or kidnapped after a social-media alert triggered public concern. The corps member was reportedly traced to Ado Ekiti, where she had gone on a personal visit without informing those trying to reach her. She apologised to her family, colleagues, place of primary assignment and the NYSC community for the alarm caused. The Osun NYSC coordinator said the case would be referred to the scheme’s disciplinary committee. He warned corps members against using social media irresponsibly and abandoning their duty posts without proper communication.
