I Almost Lost My Chief of Staff Role Over Desmond Elliott’s Impeachment Plot
Last year, President Tinubu called me to his Abuja study during the Obasa impeachment saga. He asked if Desmond Elliott was my protégé and said intelligence linked Desmond to the plot. I urged Desmond to publicly deny any role, but he has stayed silent. Facing these allegations, I had to step back from supporting his bid for a fourth term in the Lagos State Assembly.
