Anambra Nursing Students Protest Massive Fee Hike from ₦90k to ₦580k

Students of the College of Nursing at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi took to the streets on March 10 to denounce a sudden fee increase. Their tuition jumped from ₦90,000 to ₦580,000 without warning. In a viral video, they held placards with messages like “From ₦90,000 to ₦580,000. Very bad.” They also chanted “We no go gree, reduce the school fees” as they marched through campus. The College of Nursing is a key training arm of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, one of Anambra’s leading healthcare institutions. School authorities have not yet responded to the students’ demands.
