Chad and Congo-Brazzaville to Grant Nigerians Visa-Free Entry From 2027
Nigerian passport holders may enter Chad and the Republic of the Congo without a visa from January 1, 2027, under new policies announced by both countries. Chad says it will abolish entry visas for citizens of African countries as part of efforts to support free movement, trade and regional integration. The Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, has announced a similar policy, subject to basic administrative and security requirements. The changes could make travel easier for Nigerians visiting either country for business, tourism or other purposes. Travellers should still confirm entry rules, passport validity requirements and any health or security conditions before making travel plans.
