Imo State says its Specialist Hospital in Umuguma has successfully carried out a robotic-assisted surgery, a first for a state-owned hospital in Nigeria. Governor Hope Uzodimma said he inspected the Robotics Centre before the procedure to confirm that its facilities were ready. He added that the state will continue to use public-private partnerships to strengthen healthcare and other sectors.
