Poli Rincón Criticises Mourinho’s Style and Says Vinícius Must Earn His Place

Former Real Madrid player Poli Rincón has criticised José Mourinho’s football, saying he does not believe the Portuguese coach suits the club’s style or its supporters’ expectations. Rincón said watching the team has become painful because of his affection for Real Madrid. He argued that results alone are not enough at the Santiago Bernabéu, where fans also expect an attacking and convincing style of play. He also said Vinícius Júnior should not be guaranteed a starting role because of his salary. According to Rincón, the Brazilian must earn his place through stronger performances, greater effort, goals and assists.
