Seven Tourists Feared Dead as Helicopter Crashes in Kenya’s Samburu County

A tourist helicopter crashed near Mt Ololokwe in Samburu County, Kenya, killing all seven people believed to be on board. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority said the Eurocopter EC130 B4, registered as 5Y-GYM, was travelling from Loisaba to Ewasonyiro when it went down at about 9:13 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The nationalities of the victims have not yet been confirmed.
