Carrick Excited as Marcus Rashford Returns to Manchester United
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick says he is excited to work with Marcus Rashford again after the forward returned for pre-season ahead of the 2026–27 campaign. Rashford has not played for United since December 2024. He spent the past 18 months on loan at Aston Villa and Barcelona, where he helped the Spanish side win the LaLiga title. Barcelona, however, chose not to make the move permanent. Carrick believes Rashford can make a major contribution as United look to benefit from his experience and familiarity with the club. The England international could feature in Friday's pre-season match against AC Milan.
