Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Sweeps All 16 LGAs in Landslide Re-election
The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared APC’s Governor Biodun Oyebanji the winner of the Ekiti governorship poll. He polled 319,224 votes to win in every one of the state’s 16 local government areas. Dr. Wole Oluyede of the PDP scored 40,543 votes, while ADC’s Dare Bejide took 12,872. Oyebanji’s victory margin of over 278,000 votes highlights his overwhelming support. In Ijero LGA, he secured 25,506 votes against Oluyede’s 2,479 and Bejide’s 2,026. The PDP’s strongest showing came in Ikere, where Oyebanji led 11,116 to Oluyede’s 9,892. The clean sweep across all councils underscores the APC’s robust grassroots structure and the governor’s broad acceptance.
