Sen. Gbenga Daniel Proposes Four New TASUED Satellite Campuses to Boost Ogun Education
Former Ogun State governor and current Senator Gbenga Daniel has asked the Federal Government to establish four additional campuses for Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED). He says the main Ijagun campus covers just 151 hectares—well below the 10,000 hectares needed for a federal institution. Daniel’s proposal includes a Skill Acquisition Mini-Campus in Okelugbogun, conversion of the Gateway Petroleum Institute in Oni into a satellite campus, an AI and Innovation Mini-Campus in Illishan/Odogbolu, and a Health Sciences Mini-Campus in Ijebu Ode. All sites lie within 30 kilometres of the main campus to expand infrastructure and support long-term growth. At a midterm assessment in Erunwon, the senator also provided free medical services and distributed empowerment tools to residents. He urged cooperation between federal and state authorities, criticised hostilities over local road projects, and called for unity behind efforts to create an Ijebu-Remo State.
