NIS Warns Nigerians Against Fake Passport and Visa Platforms
The Nigeria Immigration Service has warned Nigerians and foreign nationals to watch out for fraudsters and fake platforms impersonating the agency. It said passport, embassy-visa and e-Visa applications and payments should be made only through its approved official portals. The Service said it has not authorised any religious body, private company or individual to collect payments or act as an intermediary. Applicants can also use the NIS mobile app for contactless passport applications on Apple and Android devices. The public is advised to use the Service’s verified communication channels to seek help or report suspected fraud.
