Hojlund Blasts Amorim: ‘I Wasn’t Wanted at Manchester United’
Rasmus Hojlund says he felt unwanted by coach Ruben Amorim at Manchester United and was ‘put in a bit of a box’ as his time at Old Trafford wound down. He arrived from Atalanta for £72 million in 2023 and scored 16 goals in his first season. Struggling in his second campaign with just ten goals in 52 games, Hojlund moved to Napoli on a season-long loan in September. The Serie A side can sign him permanently for £38 million if they reach the Champions League. Under Antonio Conte, he has already scored 14 times this term. ‘I got a team that believes in me… a coach who wants me,’ Hojlund told a Danish broadcaster. He also rejected negative reports from England, insisting his experience wasn’t ‘all just s*** and terrible.’
