Your Obligation to God Can Become an Opportunity

Romans 8:12–13 teaches that we are not called to live according to our sinful nature, but to let the Spirit guide us. Rather than seeing obligation only as a burden, we can view it as an opportunity to surrender our lives to Christ and take part in God’s purposes. Like a marriage covenant, a relationship with God involves commitment. When we give ourselves to Him, we can trust the Holy Spirit to guide us and work through us in ways we could not manage alone.
