When I earned my first big payout as an artiste, I bought a N70 million house in Lekki and invited my parents and siblings to move in. They refused, convinced I’d made the money through Yahoo fraud. I even printed my bank statements to prove the funds came from music. After seven days of prayers, they agreed—but only if I moved in with them. I needed privacy as my career took off, but I wanted them out of the ghetto. So we all lived there together until I could afford another home and finally moved out.
