When Suitors Prefer Maids to Daughters: A Wake-Up Call
I’ve noticed many young men now favour former housemaids over my own daughters when it comes to marriage. Maids are trained early on in cooking, cleaning and household etiquette while our girls often miss out on these practical skills. These women learn resilience and patience as they serve us, qualities that translate well into marriage. In contrast, our daughters grow up in boarding schools, earn degrees and chase careers without gaining hands-on domestic experience. If we want our daughters to compete for good husbands, we must teach them the same life and home-making skills we invest in our maids. Love is more than emotion—it’s action. Early life lessons matter for lasting relationships.
