Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Be Grateful as Fuel Remains Cheaper Than in Kenya
President Bola Tinubu asked Nigerians to thank God that their pump price is still lower than what people pay in Kenya and other African countries. He spoke on Friday in Bayelsa State while inaugurating key projects: a 60MW gas turbine plant in Elebele, the 630m Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, the Sagbama-Ekeremor Road and a 2.9km dual carriageway in Yenagoa. Tinubu acknowledged that “the fuel price is biting hard” but promised to continue seeking ways to ease the burden on vulnerable citizens. He attributed recent global price hikes to the Middle East conflict and Iran’s temporary blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
