Super Falcons Prepare for Crucial WAFCON Group Clash Against Egypt

Super Falcons Prepare for Crucial WAFCON Group Clash Against Egypt

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will return to full training on Monday evening as they prepare for Wednesday’s decisive Group C match against Egypt at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Coach Justine Madugu’s team will train at the ASFAR Training Centre in Rabat after a recovery session on Sunday. Nigeria revived their quarter-final hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zambia, secured by Asisat Oshoala’s early goal. The Falcons played the entire second half with 10 players after Oluwatosin Demehin was sent off before half-time. They now need a win over Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat to strengthen their chances of reaching the knockout stage and continuing their push for an 11th WAFCON title. Egypt have lost both of their group matches, falling 6-0 to Zambia and 3-1 to Malawi.
