Anambra FA Sets June 30, 2026 Election Date and Praises Soludo’s Sports Revival
The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has fixed Tuesday, June 30, 2026, for its general election following a virtual board meeting on May 26. Members reviewed key strategies to drive football development across the state. The board commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his leadership in revitalising sports. They welcomed the re-establishment of the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and congratulated Agha Mba on his appointment as Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports. ANSFA also celebrated its recognition by the Nigeria National League as the Best Football Association in Nigeria. With the current board’s term ending on July 27, 2026, the association has directed its electoral committee to begin preparations for a transparent, credible, and peaceful election.
