Musawa Visits Tumbuleke’s Family, Promises to Preserve Late Actor’s Legacy
The Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has paid a condolence visit to the family of veteran Hausa actor Mohammed Sani, popularly known as Tumbuleke, in Kaduna. Tumbuleke died on August 11, 2026, aged 86, after an illness. He was widely known for his contributions to Hausa comedy and Nigerian Television Authority productions from the 1980s. Musawa described his death as a major loss to Nigeria’s creative industry. She said the Federal Government would engage the family on documenting and preserving his work for future generations. The late actor is survived by his wife and children.
