Whistleblower: FedPoly Offa Contract Staff Paid ₦30K, Wages Weeks Late
I’m raising the alarm over the treatment of more than 140 staff at Federal Polytechnic Offa under the Polytechnic Consult scheme. Many qualified graduates with MSc, BSc and HND are earning only ₦30,000 monthly in 2026, despite the national minimum wage being ₦70,000. Salaries are reportedly delayed by weeks, with May pay often arriving mid-June. These workers perform essential academic and administrative roles. Yet they remain on insecure contracts while permanent posts go to connected individuals. This system looks designed to exploit skilled professionals. I urge anti-corruption agencies, labour unions, education authorities and the Ministry of Labour to investigate immediately. Nigerian workers deserve fair wages, timely payment, transparent recruitment and the dignity of labour.
