Shine as Salt and Light: Reflecting on Matthew 5:13-16

In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Salt that loses its flavour is thrown out and trampled underfoot. This reminds us that our faith must remain genuine and effective. A lamp on a stand lights the whole house. In the same way, our good deeds should shine before others so they may glorify our Father in heaven.
