Federal Government Launches iDICE Skills-to-Jobs Programme for 300,000 Young Nigerians
The Federal Government has launched the iDICE Skills-to-Jobs Programme, targeting 300,000 Nigerians aged 15 to 35 across the 36 states and the FCT. The scheme aims to train participants and connect them with opportunities in the digital, creative and global outsourcing sectors. The programme will run through six implementing partners across the geopolitical zones. Training will be offered at basic, intermediate and advanced levels through a mix of online and in-person sessions. It has set an employment-linkage target of at least 80%, which would mean job opportunities for a minimum of 240,000 beneficiaries. At least 40% of participants are expected to be women, while at least 5% will be persons with disabilities and young people not in employment, education or training. Beneficiary selection will be supervised by the Bank of Industry under the federally backed iDICE programme.
