Three-Storey Commercial Building Collapses in Abuja’s Wuse Zone 4
A three-storey commercial building collapsed in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, on Monday evening, hours after FCT Development Control officials reportedly sealed the structure and ordered occupants to leave. Emergency responders, including personnel of the FCT Fire Service, launched a rescue operation after the collapse. The FCT Emergency Management Department said it received a distress call at about 7:20 p.m. and immediately deployed officials to the scene. Eyewitnesses initially reported no casualties, but search-and-rescue operations were ongoing as responders assessed the rubble and checked for anyone trapped.
