Igbo Spiritual Leader Urges Moral Revival as Youth Drift Towards Idleness
Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, founder of the Ogilisi Igbo Foundation and Spiritual Leader of the Igbo nation, warns that Igbo youths are losing the moral and social values that once defined them. He criticizes the spread of foreign religious practices and prosperity preaching for encouraging laziness over entrepreneurship and hard work. He also decries the destruction of traditional deities and burial rites by some church groups. Ezeonwuka urges elders to launch a crusade to revive apprenticeship, agriculture, sports and vocational skills. He stresses that preserving Igbo culture and guiding the younger generation is essential to safeguard their future.
