NDLEA Dismantles Cocaine Ring, Arrests King Arinze Who Used Yoruba Alias
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has dismantled a major cocaine trafficking syndicate in Isolo, Lagos. After a three-week operation, officers intercepted 3.1kg of cocaine hidden in tins of palm kernel extract bound for the UK. Investigators arrested 52-year-old King Eze Arinze at his warehouse on Ola Ifa Street. He and his accomplice, Ezemuwo Joel, had been using the Yoruba name “Ajayi” as a disguise. The raid also recovered 886 prepared tins, a sealing machine, packaging tools and 52 grams of cannabis. Arinze and his associates remain in custody as the NDLEA continues its investigation. The agency says further arrests are possible.
