Kebbi Hisbah Counsels and Releases Two Women Arrested for ‘Indecent Dressing’

Hisbah officials in Birnin Kebbi arrested two women on complaints of indecent dressing in Badariya and held them for questioning. The women admitted wearing light clothing at home due to the extreme heat but insisted they meant no offense. After showing remorse, they received counselling on modesty, morality and respect for community and religious values. The board stressed the importance of decent attire even indoors before releasing them, and urged residents to support efforts to maintain peace and moral discipline.
