Eight Feared Trapped as Two-Storey Building Collapses in Ilorin
At least eight people, including nursing mothers and children, are feared trapped after a two-storey building collapsed early Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. at Popo-Giwa, Mosalasi Gogoro, off Ajikobi Road in Ilorin West Local Government Area. Personnel of the Kwara State Fire Service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the State Emergency Management Agency and local residents are carrying out rescue operations. Officials had not yet provided details on casualties or the cause of the collapse.
