Carragher Warns Liverpool Against Big-Money Move for Bradley Barcola

Carragher Warns Liverpool Against Big-Money Move for Bradley Barcola

Jamie Carragher has advised Liverpool against signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as a direct replacement for Mohamed Salah. Would Liverpool be better off finding a different profile rather than paying €150 million to €170 million for a direct Salah replacement?

I agree. That kind of fee is huge, so Liverpool should consider a player who fits the wider team plan.

Carragher's concern seems less about Barcola himself and more about the pressure attached to that reported price range.

A huge valuation alone should not rule out a signing; Liverpool still need to judge whether the player fits their plans.

Liverpool should set a firm ceiling, compare alternatives, and avoid letting the search for a Salah replacement dictate the fee.
