NYSC Osun Holds Induction Seminar to Equip New Staff for Effective Service Delivery
The NYSC Osun State Secretariat hosted an induction seminar for newly recruited staff at the State Secretariat in Osogbo. The programme covered the scheme’s structure, operations, ethics and administrative procedures. The State Coordinator presented promotion letters to recently elevated officers and encouraged greater commitment and professionalism. Management staff, branch heads and zonal inspectors joined the new recruits to enhance their understanding of key roles. Presentations from human resources, deployment and relocation, welfare and health, guidance and counselling, discipline and community development service outlined each department’s responsibilities. Participants learned about policy guidelines, data management and quality assurance. They were urged to uphold integrity, teamwork and respect for authority while avoiding lateness, absenteeism and insubordination. The seminar concluded with a call to apply the new knowledge in daily duties. The State Coordinator expressed confidence that the staff will drive efficient service delivery and uphold the core values of the NYSC.
