NPFL Bans Fan Over Alleged Threats to Officials and Visiting Teams
The Nigeria Premier Football League has suspended Jamilu Murtala, popularly known as Bahago, from all league activities over allegations that he repeatedly threatened match officials and visiting teams. Ranchers Bees, who are using the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano as a temporary home ground, petitioned the league over his access to restricted pitch areas during their home matches. The club said he disrupted proceedings and distanced itself from his actions. The NPFL said the suspension is intended to protect officials, visiting teams and other stakeholders, while maintaining order at league venues. Ranchers Bees are due to face Shooting Stars in Ibadan before hosting Doma United in their next home fixture.
