Bournemouth forward Eli-Junior Kroupi has undergone surgery after fracturing his fifth metatarsal during pre-season training. The 20-year-old French youth international is expected to be out for three to four months. The injury is a setback for Barcelona, who had reportedly considered Kroupi as an alternative centre-forward target. Bournemouth had maintained that the player was not for sale and views him as an important part of Marco Rose’s plans. Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 league appearances during the 2025/26 season, helping Bournemouth qualify for the Europa League.
