Port Harcourt Man Recounts Wife’s Survival After Aba Road Hit-and-Run

Port Harcourt Man Recounts Wife’s Survival After Aba Road Hit-and-Run

My wife was hit by a taxi along Aba Road, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The driver allegedly fled the scene, leaving her injured by the roadside. I am deeply grateful to the Good Samaritan who used her vehicle to take my wife to Rivers State University Teaching Hospital and contacted me through my wife’s phone. When I arrived, my wife was on oxygen and the medical team was working to revive her. After two days of treatment, she regained consciousness. She is now stable and able to eat, speak and communicate, although she has a broken leg and cannot yet walk. I appreciate the doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital for their compassion and commitment. My family remains grateful for my wife’s second chance at life.
