When a Belt No Longer Means Fear

Many of us grew up seeing a belt or cane as a warning. Once a parent said, “Come here,” you knew punishment was coming. In this video, a father takes off his belt and his toddler does not panic or run. The child sees it as a chance to play because he has been raised with love, safety and affection. That is what breaking harmful parenting cycles can look like. I hope more parents choose to give their children a childhood that feels safe.
