UNIOFFA VC Urges SRC to Prioritise Student Welfare and Campus Projects
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Offa, Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade, has pledged management’s support for the Students’ Representative Council while urging its executives to focus on student welfare and practical campus projects. During a meeting with the council leaders, the SRC identified welfare, standard projects, engaging programmes and stronger cooperation with management as priorities for its tenure. The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the executives to use dialogue and planning to pursue these goals. He suggested that the council could explore projects such as solar-powered electricity for a campus building. He also asked the leaders to remain accessible to students, especially newly admitted students who need help settling into campus life. The meeting followed the inauguration of the current SRC leadership and provided an opportunity to discuss student representation and improvements to campus life.
