Nigerian Cricketers Prosper Useni and Elijah Jimmy Join Zimbabwe NPL Clubs

Nigerian cricketers Prosper Useni and Elijah Jimmy have joined clubs in Zimbabwe’s National Premier League ahead of the NPL T20 Blast, which begins on 8 October 2026 in Harare. Useni, 20, has signed for Mbizo, while Jimmy will play for Queens. The Nigeria Cricket Federation announced the moves on Saturday. Useni is a medium-pace all-rounder known for bowling at the death and contributing quick runs down the order. Jimmy is an emerging top-order batter with the Nigeria A team and has impressed in recent domestic and Quadrangular competition. Both players will be aiming to strengthen their cases for selection as Nigeria prepares for the 2026 T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers.
