IShowSpeed Jokes with Seyi Tinubu: “Get Me Nigerian Passport!”

IShowSpeed Jokes with Seyi Tinubu: “Get Me Nigerian Passport!”

American streamer IShowSpeed met Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, in the VIP section at the World Cup final. He greeted the president’s son, posed for photos with his children and exchanged pleasantries. During their chat, IShowSpeed quipped, “Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport!” The remark drew laughter from the Tinubu family and those around them before the streamer resumed his livestream. Earlier in the day, IShowSpeed opened the World Cup closing ceremony with a live performance of his single “World Cup (Champions).” This came months after his Speed Does Africa tour, when he toured Lagos, met local stars and celebrated his 21st birthday in Nigeria.

It seems like that VIP photo with the president's son was just for fun, not a real political statement.

Is it really appropriate to crack a passport joke in that setting, especially when you're mingling with the president's family?

Next time someone meets a high-profile politician, they should keep jokes respectful and focus on building genuine connections.
